Fall Festival

The school PTSO board has been busy planning the annual Fall Festival since summer time and the busy day finally arrived.  I had Eric take the day off so he could help me at school during the day then take the girls home so I could continue getting everything ready.  He was such a help!
Pumpkin cupcakes with pumpkin buttercream for the cake walk.

Halloween bundt cake for the cake walk.

Silent auction baskets ready to go!

We also had several raffle items, 6 month Y membership, a family membership to the Natural History Museum, tutoring at Kumon, portable DVD player, lunch with the principal, a family dinner made by a local firestation and personal tour, and the grand prize- 4 one day park hopper passes to Disneyland.  It was awesome!
Daddy was in charge of the girls getting ready for the fall festival, here they are all dressed up and ready for the gates to open!

Etta is a leopard and Chloe is a butterfly.
Just like last year the girls ran to Miss Doble to get their face painted.  Miss Doble is a wonderful art teacher and she is great at face painting. For the locals, she does birthday parties (check out the link I added to face painting).
What is Chloe going to get?
No surprise, she's a butterfly!
Miss Dobble is Etta's favorite teacher, maybe one of the reasons she wants to be an artist.
What is she going to be?
A tiger!
One of the many games at the festival.  Each teacher has their own game booth and turns in all the tickets at the end of the night to the PTSO and will get money for their classroom!
The girls loved this one last year.

A bag full of goodies!
"Pick a prize" ewww
Painting nails.
A new game this year, they capitalized on the popularity of Angry Birds.

The cake walk.  Etta won a plate full of cupcakes and Chloe got one cupcake.
I got to take a break from selling raffle tickets and the silent auction room for dinner with the family.
It was a long day at school and I don't even get paid!  However, I won two silent auction items; my friends Amway basket (I knew what was in it and what it was worth!) and a month to Bunker so I'll be saving a few bucks next month and the school got the rest!  It was amazing to see how much effort goes into a three hour event.  Glad it won't happen again till next year!
