Safeguard Securities

As you know from my previous post, we're had the unsightly door handle since the security company foreclosed on our house the day we closed on the house. Several days ago we got a check from the company that would cover the cost of a new door handle as well as a fake rock that mysteriously went missing as soon as the company let themselves into the house. I figure the company only took responsibility after Eric filed a police report as well as contacted the Better Business Bureau. Here are some before and after pictures.

We measured the door to see how long we needed to cover up all the holes but of course it still didn't cover everything. At this point, I just don't care about that one hole. It looks 100 times better than before. Sure would have been nice if we never had to deal with this in the first place but we do feel a small victory in getting the company to send us a check.
Last Thursday our storage stuff from California arrived. After they were done I asked where everything else was, like my china, crystal, glass stuff, and furniture. They had no idea they were missing an entire storage unit. Eric called and found out someone messed up the paperwork and didn't have that one unit picked up to be delivered at the same time. Frustration! Eric found out yesterday that it is on it's way and should be delivered sometime next week. It will be nice to finally have everything under one roof. Still need to organize the den first. Eric and I need to buckle down and get it done!
We're looking forward to this weekend, my dad is arriving tomorrow with Maggie (and Jack, just for the weekend).
