Finally, I can give an update that actually has information. The movers are coming Friday morning (about 10 hours from now) to pack us out. Since we live so far from a military instillation, they'll be coming for one day only. Normally they pack everything in boxes one day then load it into crates the following. So, it's going to be a long day.
We'll be staying at our friends' house for several nights while we complete everything with our local home (inspection, shutting utilities off, and whatnot). Our friends are in the US on vacation right now so we've got their whole house to ourselves. How wonderful is that? The girls are going to be particularly happy about the toy room.
We'll be heading to Yokota AB Wednesday and staying there until the 18th. We've got doctors and dentist appointments during that time and hopefully we can sell our van. Then we'll fly directly from the base to Seattle, then to Phoenix. We'll land at the airport at 5:24pm on the 18th. We're super excited. Eric has then planned a trip for us to go to Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan between the 21st and 30th. He really wants to see his grandma in Michigan and we might as well see the rest of his family and friends on that side of the country!
It's so strange, the close of a chapter in our lives in just around the corner. I'm sad when I think about Etta not going to Youchien anymore. She's already missing her friends since they started school yesterday. I'll take a deep breath and remind myself of all the wonderful things we'll get to experience in the near future; grandparents, friends, being able to communicate without stressing out, COSTCO, trying on clothes that actually fit, and hopefully finding a new house in Vegas.
