Eric Climbs Mt Fuji
Eric climbed mount Fuji earlier this week with our landlord and several of his friends. It was a night hike. They left in the evening and started hiking late at night so they could be at the top to see the sun rise. Some of the group was moving slow so Eric and one other guy took off from the pack to reach the peak in time. Here are some of the pictures of Eric's hike.

This is actually the moon. Eric said it was nearly a full moon and rarely had to use his head lamp.
Eric said it was pretty crowded at the top of the mountain to see the sun rise. I didn't really understand until I saw some of the pictures. Here is the sun just below the clouds.
High above the clouds.

Eric said he wouldn't do a night hike like that ever again. He was so tired. He got some sleep in the van on the way home but he was basically up for two days straight. He said the highlights of the hike were watching his group stop at every station to either smoke or take hits of oxygen. He can find that funny since he's not a smoker. Eric had a headache at the top of the mountain but he said he wasn't sure if it was due to the altitude or just lack of sleep.
The last weekend to hike Fuji is this weekend and Eric is going again with another friend. He's not worried since this time he'll be seeing the sunset and not missing any sleep!
